3M Littman vs MDF Stethoscopes
I have the MDF One and the Littmann Classic III. I found that the MDF One has a little more clarity than the Classic III, but wearing them hurts my ears no matter what ear bud size I use. The Classic III is extremely comfortable; I can wear that sucker on my ears all day without issue.
Personally, if you work in a specialty area like the CVICU where auscultation of lung fields and monitoring of abnormal heart sounds like holosystolic murmurs are necessary, you should look at something like the Littmann Master Cardiology. I prefer the Classic iii for comfort.

The Littman Cardiology IV vs. MDF Classic Cardiology would have been a better comparison video. The MDF in the description is their “good” model designed for beginners it would have been good to hear how that compared to Littman’s Classic III which is the only one I see students at my school use.
So I’m starting nursing school in a month. I have both the MDF Cardiology and the Littmann Cardio 4. I tried the regular MDF and compared it to the Littmann Cardiology it was clear testing it on myself that the sounds were superior on the Littmann. But I wanted a backup to keep in my bag so I got that MDF cardi and it’s much better than the other MDF. I’m curious to see what others think of the MDF cardi vs. the Littmann cardi is.
The Littmann Cardiology is definitely more expensive. But the Littmann Classic III and the MDF are actually pretty close price-wise. The Littmann Classic is about $90 and the MDF is around $80. The Cardiology one is cool, it’s just more expensive.
